Fees

Starhill Medical Centre Bulk Bill patients with valid medicare card.

 

This excludes the following consultation which may not govern under Medicare rebate, thus would result to be billed privately.

  • Driver licence medical
  • Patients without Medicare cover
  • Worker’s compensation related consultations
  • Pre-employment medical assessment
  • Travel vaccinations
  • Sports Medicals
  • Any medical assessment not covered by Medicare
  • Consults not covered by Medicare

Should any surgical procedure required to be performed (e.g skin excision), an additional fee for the use of the required disposal equipment ($50) will be incurred.

 

Patient’s  who do not have a Medicare card will be charged as follows:


Standard Consultation:
$75.00

 

Long Consultation: $125.00

 

 

The Practice accepts Cash, EFTPOS , Mastercard and Visa. 
( AMEX, Diners and Cheques are NOT accepted ).


 

Policies

Emergency

Please dial 000 or go to the nearest hospital emergency department if you have:

  • suspect a heart attack
  • chest pains
  • severe bleeding
  • serious breathing problems
  • poisoning
  • anything you consider as life threatening

 

New Patient

If you are a new patient at Starhill Medical Centre and have made an appointment, we advise you to come to our Medical Centre 10 minutes earlier, so that you can complete our patient registration form

 

Privacy Policy

Your medical record is treated strictly confidential in this practice. It is the policy of this practice that it will not be shared with any unauthorised person as to maintain the security of your personal health information at all times. These information is to be made available only to authorised members of staff.

 

Appointment

The standard appointment is around 10 to 15 minutes. Longer appointments are available. Please discuss with our friendly and helpful receptionist when you are booking your appointment.

 

Did Not Attent (DNA) and Cancellation Policy

We will charge a fee of $40.00 if 2 appointmnets are not attended in a 30 days period and if no cancellation is done 6 hours prior to the appointment time. However, if a long appoinment is not attended and if no cancellation is done 6 hours prior to the appoinment time, a fee of $40.00 will be charged immediately. For morning appoinmnets between 8.30am to 12.30pm, cancellations need to be done the day prior during our opening hours.

Walk-Ins

Priority is given to patients who has made relevant appointment. We will still assist our best to see Walk Ins. Please speak to our friendly and helpful receptionist to see how best she can assist you if you need to see a doctor and do not have an appointment.

 

Medical Certificates

Medical certificates will not be issued for non-medical reasons. Medical Certificates cannot be backdated, thus requires visits to be done by patients at time of illness.

 

Test Results

Test results will not be delivered over the telephone. You will need to make an appointment to see a doctor to obtain the test results. This is important as results require to be discussed with a doctor to obtain better clarity and next step. It is also important as to safe guard your privacy.

 

Repeat Prescriptions

A consultation with the Doctor is required before repeat prescriptions are given.
